For our World Discovery Day in April, we travelled to Ukraine! We learned about where Ukraine is located, its traditional foods, popular music, and animals of Ukraine, and we participated in traditional art activities such as weaving, and creating our own version of Pysanky-inspired eggs. We also had opportunities to re-create Ukraine landmarks with loose parts and plant some sunflower seeds to grow their national flower. We also created a Ukrainian restaurant where we served up some amazing playdough versions of their most popular dishes, yum!
